Easter time, and more, can be enjoyed in Lamporecchio and its surroundings. During April, spring gives special colors and scents. Certainly our area is able to give spectacular blooms to be appreciated simply by taking a walk in the nearby areas, between hills and small villages. With simple excursions you can enjoy the wonders of Tuscany and our valley.
This year, with Easter in this month, however, it is also possible to attend the traditional processions that then anticipate the Christ resurrection. From Monte Amiata to Grassina, up to Campi Bisenzio, processions and religious rites related to the Passion of Christ take place.
The celebration of explosion of the Cart finally returns to Florence. A completely decorated and embellished chariot, called the Brindellone, is first carried in procession through the city and then, during the mass, using to a rocket (the dove) in the shape of a small dove, it is blown up. An ancient rite that recalls the conservation in Florence of 3 flint stones arrived from Jerusalem thanks to an exponent of the de Pazzi family who was the first to climb the walls during the First Crusade.
If you prefer the discovery of local products, at the end of April (from 23rd) Agrifiera returns, after two years, to Pontasserchio. An event dedicated to agriculture, the environment and the territory where you can discover the flavors and aromas of Tuscany. Food, wine and more.
